Microsoft Stream Offered to Office 365 Enterprise Customers

Following last years preview of Microsoft’s Stream enterprise video service, this week Stream becomes available to Office 365 enterprise customers and as a stand-alone product.

This new offering is now part of Office 365 Enterprise, and it will allow companies to do exactly what the Fullscope team are doing now, creating internal and external customer training and technical how to videos but on a much larger scale with tools that are just as easy but more powerful than YouTube.

Microsoft Stream is a single destination for video management, with built-in intelligence, deep integration across Office 365 and the IT management and security capabilities that businesses of all sizes require,” says Seth Patton, general manager of Office 365 Product Marketing.

Stream uses encryption and authentication access so your content is secure and accessible by the appropriate groups within your organisation – and anybody in your organisation could easily contribute content. We see huge potential for our customers to use Stream as a platform for their own internal LMS, imagine going to a search screen and type CORE, and having every video show up where CORE is mentioned in the content of the video!

If you believe that every company on the planet is eventually going to move to video as their primary content delivery medium, and you believe that Microsoft will eventually when the cloud applications race be the platform of choice for most the companies from assumption A then this gets interesting. At Fullscope we believe that combining generic training content with custom training content and serving it up to customers in their own controlled environment is the way companies should do it, this is exciting news and we're looking forward to helping customers on this journey.

For existing Office 365 customers you can find Stream in the Office app launcher or visit the Microsoft Stream website to sign in. For those without Office 365, standalone plans are available and you can sign up for a free trial.
