From Business Card to Contact in Dynamics CRM

By David Kohar | July 27, 2015

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Users that want to get their Contacts into CRM easily from a stack of business cards can do so in 3 easy steps.

To start, you can leverage a number of Card Scanners that can be downloaded to your Smart Phone to get the card into Outlook and then with a few clicks, into Dynamics CRM (now Dynamics 365).

For this example, I used a mobile card scanner that I downloaded for free on the App Store called CamCard. Download CamCard for your device here.

1. Take a picture of the card

In my phone, I started the CamCard app and took a picture of the business card:

2. Review the contact details

CamCard automatically saves your business card details as one of your Contacts in Outlook. Make sure you do a quick review and make any changes or updates to the data to the data that was captured.

3. Add your contact to CRM

Finally, I clicked on the “Track” Button and “Set Parent” to put Geoff into CRM.

That is it! If you would like to know more about great ways to leverage Microsoft Dynamics CRM, please reach out to us!
