From Business Card to Contact in Dynamics CRM

From Business Card to Contact in Dynamics CRM

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Users that want to get their Contacts into CRM easily from a stack of business cards can do so in 3 easy steps.

To start, you can leverage a number of Card Scanners that can be downloaded to your Smart Phone to get the card into Outlook and then with a few clicks, into Dynamics CRM (now Dynamics 365).

For this blog post, I used a mobile card scanner that I downloaded for free on the App Store (I have an iPhone) called CamCard (https://www.camcard.com/).

On my phone I started the CamCard app and took a picture of the business card:

CamCard automatically saves it as one of your Contacts in Outlook. I did a quick review, made a few minor changes to the data that was captured.

Finally, I clicked on the “Track” Button and “Set Parent” to put Geoff into CRM

That is it! If you would like to know more about great ways to leverage Microsoft Dynamics CRM, please reach out to us!
